CINCINNATI - The Xavier lacrosse team is set to face Eastern Michigan on Saturday afternoon in Ypsilanti, Mich., for the Musketeers' first road test of the season. First draw is set for 2 p.m. at the Eagles' Indoor Practice Facility.

XU opened the season with a 17-9 loss to rival Cincinnati last weekend. Sophomore Maya Graham contributed three goals and an assist for her first career hat trick.

Maya Graham opened her sophomore season with her first career hat trick against Cincinnati, tallying three goals and an assist.
Claire Slade posted two goals for the first time since her freshman season in 2023.
Jada Brandon recorded 12 saves against Cincinnati in her first full career game played in the cage for the Musketeers.
Lily Hayes also added two goals along with two ground balls and a pair of draw controls in Friday's loss.
Megan Droney contributed two assists and a goal. The junior attacker is the leading active goal scorer at Xavier with 23 in her career.
Head coach Brittney Morris is in her first season at the helm of Xavier, joining the Musketeers from Division III St. Mary's College of Maryland where she won four-straight United East Conference Championships.
Morris retained 20 players from last year's squad with the addition of five transfers and seven newcomers.
Samantha Balara, Catherine Gurd and Katelyn McDonnell were named the 2026 team captains.

Eastern Michigan is off to a 2-1 start to the 2026 season, most recently taking a 14-11 win over Lindenwood on Wednesday night.
The Eagles also defeated Xavier's BIG EAST foe Butler, 12-8, on Sunday.
EMU was picked to finish second in the MAC Preseason Poll after finishing with a 4-2 league record in 2025 for a share of the MAC regular season title.
Mackenzie Blackwell, the reigning MAC Attacker of the Year, returns for the Eagles. The senior has scored 13 goals through EMU's first three games of the season.
Maddy Porter also returns for EMU after being named the 2025 MAC Goalkeeper of the Year. The junior is maintaining a .400 save percentage through three starts this season.
Xavier holds a 2-0 all-time record against Eastern Michigan. The Musketeers defeated the Eagles, 13-12, for the program's first overtime win in 2024. XU also won the first match up in 2023 by a score of 11-10.
