Men's Basketball Faces St. John's On Monday In A Rematch At Madison Square Garden

CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 12-11 overall and 4-8 in the BIG EAST Conference, visit the No. 22 St. John's University Red Storm, 18-5 overall and 11-1 in the BIG EAST, on Monday night at 6:30 p.m. at Madison Square Garden.  SJU won its ninth-straight game with an 81-72 victory over No. 3 UConn on Friday at MSG.
Xavier's Richard Pitino and his father, Rick Pitino, are facing each other as head coaches for the sixth time, including the second time this season. SJU came from behind to win the first meeting this season 88-83 at XU on Jan. 24.

• Xavier leads the BIG EAST and is 16th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.75. XU is second in the BIG EAST in assists and 21st in the nation at 18.0 apg.
• Xavier senior Filip Borovićanin leads the team in rebounding (fourth in the BIG EAST at 7.8 rpg.), assists (fifth at 4.4 apg.), steals (tied for 10th at 1.4 spg.) and assist-to-turnover ratio (third in the BIG EAST at 2.66).
• Xavier senior Malik Messina-Moore is second on the team in scoring for BIG EAST games at 14.4 ppg., which ranks 12th in the league. Messina-Moore has raised his season average to 10.8 ppg. He is fifth in the BIG EAST in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.53.
• Xavier sophomore Jovan Milićević is third on the team in scoring at 11.2 ppg. and is tied for ninth in the BIG EAST in 3-point field goals per game (1.9).
