Men's Tennis Picks Up BIG EAST Victory Over Marquette

Xavier will travels to Nashville next weekend for three matches, starting with Tennessee State on Friday, March 13. The Musketeers will also face Vanderbilt on Friday, March 13, at 6:00 p.m. ET. Xavier remains in Nashville on Saturday, March 14 to face Lipscomb.

In doubles, Xavier picked up the first decision with Alex Kotarski and Andrew Spurck winning on court No. 2, 6-2. The Golden Eagles took the No. 3 court, 6-3, against Bode Campbell and Kyle Totorica, but the Musketeers clinched the point on court No. 1 with a 6-4 win for Max Pettingell and Nick Herdoiza.
Andrew Spurck took the first singles decision, a 6-1, 6-4 win on court No. 4 to make it a 2-0 Xavier lead. Marquette evened it at 2-2 with a 7-6 (5), 6-4 win on the No. 2 court against Max Pettingell, and a 6-3, 7-6 (6) win on court No. 1 against Nick Herdoiza.
Alex Kotarski put the Musketeers back in front with a 6-7, 6-3, 6-2 win on the No. 3 court, and Lukas Grossman clinched the match, taking court No. 6, 6-0, 6-1.
After the match was decided, the Golden Eagles picked up the final decision, a 6-4, 6-2 win on the No. 5 court against Bode Campbell.
