Musketeers face Lipscomb at 11 AM ET on Saturday

NASHVILLE - Xavier men's tennis opened up a three-match trip to Nashville on Friday, falling 4-3 to Tennessee State and 4-0 to No. 13 Vanderbilt.

The Musketeers return to action on Saturday, taking on the Lipscomb Bisons, set for an 11 AM ET start.

The Match - TSU

The Tigers picked up the doubles point with a 6-3 win on the No. 2 court against Alex Kotarski and Andrew Spurck and a 6-3 win on court No. 3 against Kyle Totorica and Bode Campbell.

Xavier picked up three singles decisions, with Max Pettingell taking a 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 win on court No. 2, Alex Kotarski winning on court No.2, 6-1, 6-0, and Andrew Spurck taking court No. 4, 4-6, 7-5, 10-6.

TSU picked up three singles decisions, with a 7-6 (4), 6-1 win over Nick Herdoiza on court 1, a 6-3, 6-4 win over Bode Campbell on court No. 5, and a 6-3, 6-4 win over Lukas Grossman on court No. 6 to set the final score at 4-3.

The Match - VANDY

Vanderbilt took the 1-0 lead on the doubles point after winning 6-2 on the No. 3 court against Bode Campbell and Kyle Totorica, and clinching the point on court No. 1 , 6-2, against Nick Herdoiza and Max Pettingell.

The Dores made it a 2-0 lead with a 6-1, 6-1 win on the No. 5 court against Lukas Grossman. No. 115 Pablo Martinez Gomez took a 6-2, 6-0 win over Max Pettingell on the No. 1 court to make it a 3-0 Vanderbilt lead.

The Commodores clinched the match at 4-0 with a win on the No. 2 court, with No. 90 Hoyoung Roh topping Alex Kotarski, 6-2, 6-3.
