Junior right-hander posted a 0.00 ERA through 6.0 innings in win over Villanova
NEW YORK -Â Right-handed pitcher Ryan Piech earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced on Monday.
Piech, a junior from Aurora, Ohio, posted a 0.00 ERA through 6.0 innings in the start in game one against Villanova. Piech did not allow an earned run, giving up just three hits and walking only two, while striking out seven. He picked up the win, his team-leading fifth victory of the season.
For the year, Piech has a 3.13 ERA through 46.0 innings pitched across nine starts, leading the Musketeers with 59 strikeouts.
Xavier returns to action on Tuesday, April 14, traveling across town to face Cincinnati, set for 6:00 p.m. start.
