DENVER - The Xavier lacrosse team dropped a 19-1 decision at No. 18 Denver in the Musketeers' final game of BIG EAST play.Â
Lily Hayes scored the Musketeers' lone goal in the fourth quarter. XU was held to just one goal for the second time this season.
Riley Ohrel tied her season-high five saves for a .333 save percentage. Ohrel and Jada Brandon combined for nine saves compared to Denver's eight saves.
Xavier falls to 3-13 (1-5 BIG EAST) while Denver improves to 12-3 (5-0 BIG EAST).

Denver jumped out to an early 5-0 lead after the first quarter. Jada Brandon made four saves in the opening frame for the Musketeers.
The Pioneers extended their scoring streak through the second quarter with another seven unanswered goals. Xavier took seven shots in the first half but were unable to convert one.
The Musketeers forced four turnovers on the Pioneers and picked up three ground balls in the third frame to hold DU to just three goals.
XU took a game-high six shots in the final period and converted their first goal off a fast break play by Lily Hayes for her sixth of the season.
