The Musketeers moved to 3-0-1 on the year

CINCINNATI - Xavier men's soccer remained unbeaten after taking a 2-0 win over Bowling Green on a pair of late goals from Jose Pedro on Friday evening at Corcoran Field.

The Musketeers improved to 3-0-1 on the year, while the Falcons moved to 1-4 on the season.

Xavier heads back on the road on Sunday, Sept. 13, traveling to St. Paul, Minn., to face St. Thomas. The Musketeers and the Tommies are set for a 2:00 p.m. ET start.

NOTABLES

Jose Pedro's 78th minute goal, the game-winner, marked his first collegiate goal. With his goal in the final seconds, he finished with four points on two goals.
Pedro's goal at 89:57 is the latest goal in a game for the Musketeers since Jerome Jolly's goal with eight seconds left in regulation (89:52) at Northern Kentucky on Sept. 12, 2022 (W, 3-1).
Pedro now matches Ekene Okeke for team high with four points on four goals for the season, matching his point total from last season at Akron, earned on four assists.
Gerard Lorente picked up an assist on Pedro's goal in the final seconds. He now has three points on a goal and an assist.
Xavier finished with a 16-8 advantage on shots after out-shooting BGSU 12-3 in the second half.
