Jamie Brown was hired to the sports medicine staff as an athletic trainer in July of 2022 and promoted to Co-Director of Sports Medicine in 2024. She previously worked as an athletic trainer at Beacon Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

Brown worked at Beacon Orthopedics and Sports Medicine from 2020-22, working as an athletic trainer at all Beacon affiliated schools and universities - including Xavier. She also worked as a certified athletic training intern for the Musketeers from 2008-10 and was an adjunct professor at Xavier in 2010.

Prior to Beacon, Brown worked as an athletic trainer in St. Louis from 2018-20. She worked as an athletic trainer for Excel Sports, Mercy Hospital, Webster Groves HS, St. Louis Community College and the St. Louis Athletic Training Services LLC.

All told, Brown has 14 years of experience in the sports medicine profession. She holds the following certifications: National Board Certified Athletic Trainer, Ohio Licensed Athletic Trainer, Certified Phlebotomist, Certified Professional Rescuer CPR/AED.

Brown holds a bachelor's degree in athletic training/clinic management from Bowling Green ('07) and a master's degree in sports administration from Xavier ('10).
