Xavier defeated DePaul, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon in Chicago

CHICAGO - Xavier men's soccer posted a 1-0 win on Saturday afternoon at DePaul, the Musketeers' second straight BIG EAST win. Xavier improved to 7-6-1 (3-4), while the Blue Demons dropped to 5-7-3 (1-3-3).

SCORING RECAP

61' | XU | Freshman Karsen Henderlong stole a DePaul defender's pass just outside the top of the box. The forward took a few dribbles after the steal and found the back of the net for the lone goal of the match.

NOTABLE

• Freshman Karsen Henderlong now has six goals this season, ranking second on the team. The six goals are now tied for the most by a BIG EAST freshman this season.

• Redshirt-junior Matthew Rosenberg (7-6-1) made two saves, increasing his season total to 66. He now has four shutouts this season and 13 career shutouts.

• Xavier moved to 15-2-1 in the all-time series against the Blue Demons. The Musketeers are now 7-1 against DePaul in BIG EAST matches and 4-0 when playing at Wish Field.

• DePaul held a 10-7 advantage in shots. Xavier posted five more corner kicks (8-3) than the Blue Demons and committed one more foul (8-7).
