Felix Boe-Tangen's Late Goal Lifts Musketeers Over Northwestern

The senior forward scored his first goal of the season in the 87th minute
CINCINNATI - Felix Boe-Tangen found the back of the net in the 87th minute, leading the Xavier men's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Northwestern on Sunday evening at Corcoran Field.
The Musketeers moved to 5-1 on the year, while the Wildcats dropped to 2-2-2.

• Felix Boe-Tangen scored his first goal of the season in the 87th minute, his eighth career goal. The senior forward now has four career game-winning goals.
• Justus Kauppinen record the assist on the goal, his second assist of the season and his fourth in a Xavier uniform. The Virginia Tech transfer now has five career assists in his collegiate career.
• Matthew Rosenberg (5-1) made one save on the night and posted his 19th career shutout (and third shutout of the season). He now has a 0.50 goals against average through six matches.
• Five Musketeers played all 90 minutes: Matthew Rosenberg, Jansen Miller, Pol Hernandez, Taylor Crull and Cameron Belle.
• Northwestern held a 10-9 advantage in shots, but the Musketeers had three more shots on goal (5-2). The Wildcats took five more corner kicks (8-3) than the Musketeers. Xavier committed one more foul (11-10) than Northwestern.
• Xavier moved to 2-1 against Big Ten foes this season. The Musketeers also moved to 2-4-2 all-time vs the Wildcats following the win.
• Karsen Henderlong led three Musketeers with multiple shots in the match as the junior forward recorded three (two on goal). Felix Boe-Tangen and Pol Hernandez each added two shots.
