CINCINNATI - Xavier baseball completed the series sweep of crosstown rival Cincinnati on Wednesday night, defeating the Bearcats, 10-6, at the UC Baseball Stadium. The Musketeers extended their win streak to six games as they improved to 13-13 on the year. The Bearcats dropped to 9-14 on the year.
The Musketeers have now won eight of the last 11 meetings vs the Bearcats.Â

9TH INNING | Xavier scored three runs on four hits in the top of the frame. Lane Flamm drove in the first run with an RBI single. Ethan Hodge drove in the final two runs with a two-out single to center field.

- Xavier scored 10 or more runs for the fifth time this season. The Musketeers also had 12 hits, the team's 16th game of the year with 10 or more hits.
- Five different Musketeers had multi-hit games: Luke Franzoni (2-for-4), Andrew Walker (2-for-5), Lane Flamm (2-for-4), Garrett Schultz (2-for-5) and Jared Cushing (2-for-5).
- Six different Musketeers scored in the game, paced by Luke Franzoni, Andrew Walker, Lane Flamm and Jack Housinger who each scored two runs.Â
- Tyler DeMartino had a team-high three RBI, while adding one run and one hit.
- Xavier committed the lone error in the game. Cincinnati left three more runners on base (12-9) than the Musketeers.

- Miles Halligan got the start for Xavier, allowing four runs and three hits in 1.2 innings of action. Jonathan Kelly replaced Halligan and went 1.1 innings, surrendering one hit and one run.
- Luke Bell threw one inning of scoreless relief, throwing two strikeouts and allowing one hit.
- Jack Lynch (3-0) earned the win on the mound, throwing four strikeouts and allowing two hits and one run in 2.1 innings of work.
- Jared Gadd collected his second save of the season, pitching the final 2.2 innings. He did not allow a run and threw one strikeout.
- Xavier's pitching staff posted 11 strikeouts, the team's fifth game of the season with 10 or more strikeouts.
