VILLANOVA, Pa. -Â Xavier men's soccer and Villanova played to a 1-1 tie on Saturday afternoon at the Higgins Soccer Complex.
Xavier moved to 6-3-5 (3-1-3 BIG EAST), while the Wildcats moved to 1-7-5 (1-4-2 BIG EAST).
Xavier remains in first place in the Midwest Division of the BIG EAST Men's Soccer Standings.

• Xavier held a 19-11 advantage in shots and took two more shots on goal than the Wildcats (9-7). Villanova committed seven more fouls (16-9) and took one more corner kick (5-4).
• Xavier's 19 shots rank tied for the second most in a match this season (also had 19 shots vs DePaul on Sept. 15). The Musketeers' season high in shots was 24 vs Oakland on Aug. 27.
• Nine different players took a shot in the match for the Musketeers. Guilherme Vivaldini took a team-high four shots (three on goal). Eli Dulle (3), Grayson Elmquist (4), Cooper Forcellini (2) and Taylor Rhinehart (2) all added multiple shots in the match.
• Matthew Senanou scored his first career goal on Saturday. Nine different Musketeers have now scored a goal this season.
