Musketeers travel to Ball State on Friday

CINCINNATI - Xavier men's tennis went undefeated for the weekend, taking a 4-3 win over Toledo at Mercy Health - Anderson on Sunday afternoon to move to 6-2 on the season.

The Musketeers are back in action on Friday, February 17, set for a 2:00 p.m. start.

THE MATCH

In doubles play, Toledo took the point with wins on the No. 2 court against Pascal Mosberger and Cambell Nakayama, 7-6 (4), and on the No. 3 court, 7-6 (5), against Jorge Santamaria and Marco Pennelli. Ryan Cahill and Deacon Thomas won 6-3 on the No. 1 court.

Xavier collected wins on the No. 2 court, 6-1, 3-6, 6-1, for Deacon Thomas, on the No. 3 court for Cambell Nakayama, 1-6, 6-4, 6-2. The Musketeers also won on the No. 5 court for Marco Pennelli, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, and on the No. 6 court for Jorge Santamaria 6-0, 6-1 to seal the win.

Toledo took wins on the No. 1 court, 6-4, 6-0, against Ryan Cahill, and on the No. 4 court 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 against Kyle Totorica to set the score at 4-3.
