WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Xavier women's tennis fell, 5-2, to the Purdue Boilermakers on Sunday afternoon.
The Musketeers are on the road next weekend, traveling to Illinois, set for a 6:00 p.m. start on Friday, February 17.

In doubles, Purdue took the first decision, a 6-1 win against Emily Flowers and Paulina Franco Martinessi. Xavier took the second decision on the No. 2 court, with Anna Roggenburk and Imani Graham. Kat Lyman and Abby Nugent sealed the point for the Musketeers with a 7-6 (6) win on the No. 1 court.
Purdue took wins on the No. 2 court, 6-2, 6-2, against Kat Lyman, and the No. 3 court, 6-1, 6-3, against Abby Nugent to move in front.
The Boilermakers sealed the match with wins on the No. 6 court, 6-1, 6-1, against Emily Flowers and a 6-3, 6-3 win on the No. 4 court against Anna Roggenburk to go ahead 4-1.
After the match was decided, Abigail Siminski fell 7-5, 6-2 on the No. 5 court, and Imani Graham picked up a 6-2, 2-6, 12-10 win to set the final score at 6-1.
