Women's Lacrosse Earns First Home Victory Against Eastern Michigan

The Musketeers earn their fourth victory of the inaugural season
CINCINNATI - Xavier women's lacrosse defeated Eastern Michigan 11-10 and earned the program's first home victory on Sunday afternoon.
The Musketeers advance to 4-3 (0-0 BIG EAST), while the Eagles fall to 1-3 (0-0 MAC).
The Musketeers outscored the Eagles in the first and fourth quarters - posting three unanswered goals in the fourth to secure the victory.
• Lola Mancuso posted the game-high of five goals in the contest - four of the five being unassisted. The freshman attacker contributed one draw control, one groundball, and the team-high of two caused turnovers. With the five goals, Mancuso earned her fifth hat trick.
• Graduate attacker Riley Halloran, junior midfielder Sawyer Walker, and freshman midfielder Kiera Armitage each recorded two goals against the Eagles. Walker and Armitage both went one-for-one on free position goals.
• Two Musketeers put assists on the board - freshman midfielder Molly Janssen and Walker.
• Freshman goalkeeper Marina Piszczor put up 12 saves against the Eagles and picked up one additional groundball.
• Kiera Armitage posted the game-high six draw controls and added one groundball to her two goals in the contest.
• Graduate defender Hannah McFeeters contributed three draw controls, two groundballs, and one caused turnover.
• The Musketeers totaled 11 goals, two assists, 12 draw controls, 10 caused turnovers and 16 groundballs.
The Musketeers will return to action against Big Ten opponent Michigan on Sunday, March 26 at 1 p.m. from Ann Arbor.
