Our win today gave us the first winning record in program history and extended our streak to three, all on the road. This is a huge moment for us as a new program.
Marina stepped up in a really big way for us today in the cage. I was impressed with our 6 goal run that spanned the half, making it our largest run yet. Hannah coming up with eight draw controls was huge. Our entire attacking unit stepped it up and finished their shots and did the work on the redefend. And lastly, our defense played a tireless 60 minutes, holding down their 1v1's the entire game. I'm proud of this group.Â
We are doing all the hard work but we are beating ourselves on unforced turnovers. We are fortunate to have had Marina in net and to have executed our expected shooting percentage. We have the talent, we have the game plan. We need to improve on our decision making across the board and that is the biggest challenge ahead for our young team. I'm looking forward to that focus going into our game against Wofford on Tuesday.
