Volleyball Victorious in First Meeting with Kennesaw State

The Musketeers sweep the Owls in the first meeting of the two programs
CINCINNATI - Xavier volleyball closed nonconference action with a straight sets (25-21, 25-22, 25-20) victory over Kennesaw State.
The Musketeers move to 7-4 (0-0 BIG EAST) on the season and the Owls fall to 7-4 (0-0 ASUN).
Xavier collects the first win in the series history with Kennesaw State.
 
	
		
• Six Musketeers combined for the season-high of 12 service aces against Kennesaw State. Redshirt sophomore outside hitter Emma Grace and freshman defensive specialist Elouise Czajkowski delivered three each with junior defensive specialist Lucia Corsaro and senior libero Stevie Wolf tallying two apiece. Junior setter Logan Flaugh and senior middle blocker Delaney Hogan followed up with one each.
• Anna Taylor led the Musketeers' defense with the match-high of three block assists. The redshirt sophomore outside hitter recorded a career-high .750 hitting percentage with nine kills on 12 attempts.
• Following Taylor at the net was redshirt junior Sarah Stevens and Hogan with two block assists each.
• Flaugh and graduate outside hitter Brooklyn Cink were the only Musketeers to tally a block solo against the Owls.
• Stevens tied her career high of 10 kills while hitting .588 in the match with no attack errors.
• Carrigan O'Reilly, the graduate setter, recorded 34 assists, five digs, and four kills, while raising her career total for assists to 3,745.
• Wolf posted the team-high in digs with 10 and was followed by Flaugh with seven.
