Xavier Drops Road Match at Butler

INDIANAPOLIS - The Xavier men's soccer team fell to Butler, 5-1, on Wednesday night for the team's third loss in BIG EAST play.
The Musketeers move to 4-6-5 (1-3-2 BIG EAST) while Butler picks up their first league win to improve to 4-8-3 (1-5 BIG EAST).
Xavier returns home for the final game at Corcoran Field this season to face Seton Hall on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. The match will serve as the program's Senior Day.

- Freshman Nolan Brice scored the first goal of his career in the match with a put back touch after a deflection by the Butler goalkeeper and Fabrizio Bernal de la Gaza's first assist of the season.
- The Musketeers snapped a two-game scoreless streak with Brice's goal in the 63rd minute. Their last goal scored was against Cleveland State on Oct. 8. The Musketeers had not scored a goal against a conference opponent since Sept. 20 against St. John's.
