Musketeers set to face Furman on Sunday

GREENVILLE, S.C.- Xavier men's tennis fell 4-3 against Gardner-Webb at Furman on Saturday afternoon.

The Musketeers are now set to face the Furman Paladins on Sunday, Feb. 11 at 10 AM, also at Furman.

The Match

In doubles play, Ryan Cahill and Pascal Mosberger took a 6-3 win on the No. 1 court and Kyle Totorica and Jorge Santamaria combined for a 6-1 win on the No. 3 court to clinch the doubles point for the Musketeers.

Xavier picked up two more points on singles wins, with Kyle Totorica taking the No. 5 court, 7-6 (2), 6-4 and Cristian Gonzalez winning on No. 6, 6-2, 6-1.

Gardner-Webb picked up wins on the No.1 court, 6-1, 5-7, 6-4, against Ryan Cahill, on the No. 2 court, 6-1, 6-4, against Pascal Mosberger.

GW also took wins on the No. 3 court, 6-2, 6-4, against Charlie Temming, and a 6-4, 6-1 win over Marco Pennelli on the No. 4 court to set the final score at 4-3.
