Men's Tennis Falls at Furman on Sunday

Musketeers face EIU and YSU in Youngstown next weekend
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Xavier men's tennis fell 5-2 at Furman on Sunday afternoon.
Next weekend, Xavier travels to Youngstown, Ohio, for a pair of matches, playing Northern Illinois on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 10:00 a.m., and then playing Youngstown State on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 11:00 a.m.

In doubles play, Furman took court No. 3, 6-4, against Alex Adamec and Pascal Mosberger, and clinch the point with a 6-4 win against Jorge Santamaria and Kyle Totorica on the No. 2 court. Cristian Gonzalez and Charlie Temming led 5-4 on No. 1 when the point was decided.
The Paladins took a 2-0 lead with a 6-1, 6-2 win on the No. 1 court against Pascal Mosberger and made it a 3-0 lead with a 6-4, 6-2 win on the No. 2 court against Charlie Temming. Furman clinched the match with a 6-4, 2-6, 7-5 win against Kyle Totorica on the No. 4 court.
After the match was decided, Marco Pennelli picked up a 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 win on the No. 3 court, Cristian Gonzalez fell 6-3, 2-6, 10-7, and Alex Adamec picked up a 3-6, 7-6 (2), 10-6 win on the No. 6 court to set the final score at 5-2 in favor of the Paladins.
