Musketeers face Rams Saturday at ETSU, then Bucs on Sunday
CINCINNATIÂ - Xavier women's tennis travels to Johnson City, Tenn., for a pair of matches this weekend, facing VCU on Saturday, March 30, set for an 11:00 a.m. start and then facing ETSU on Sunday, March 31, at 1:00 p.m., both set to be played at ETSU.
The Musketeers are 12-4 on the season after sweeping Louisville 7-0 last weekend.

VCU INFO
- The Rams are 12-4 on the season with a 4-0 record in A10 play.
- VCU went 9-13 overall and 4-0 in A10 play last season, taking 4-3 wins over Saint Louis and Richmond in the A10 Quarterfinals and Semifinals, respectively, before falling 4-1 to Fordham in the Championship match.
- Xavier fell 4-0 in the last match-up between the two programs, the 2013 A10 Championship match.
ETSU INFO
- ETSU is 10-6 on the season with a 5-0 record in SoCon play.
- ETSU finished with a 19-8 record overall and a 6-1 record in SoCon play. The Bucs picked up 4-0 wins over Western Carolina, Wofford and Furman to win the SoCon Championship and NCAA bid.

LAST TIME OUT
- Xavier picks up its 12th win of the season after taking a 7-0 win at Louisville on Saturday afternoon, moving to 12-4 on the season.
- In doubles play, Louisville picked up the first decision, taking a 6-4 win over Anna Roggenburk and Imani Graham on the No. 1 court, while Emily Flowers and Sofia Mazzucato took the 6-2 win on court No. 3. The final court came down to tiebreakers on No. 2, where Ellie Brotherton and Abby Nugent took a 7-6 (3) win to secure the point.
- Imani Graham made it a 2-0 lead with a 6-1, 6-4 win on the No. 1 court and Abby Nugent extended the lead to 3-0 with a 6-4, 6-2 win on the No. 3 court. Emily Flowers clinched the win with a 7-6 (1), 6-0 win on the No. 6 court.
- Anna Roggenburk made it a 5-0 Xavier lead taking a 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 lead on the No. 2 court and Sofia Mazzucato won No. 5 court, 6-3, 2-6, 6-3, for her 11th-straight win.
- Abigail Siminski completed the sweep with a 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 win on the No. 3 court.Â
THE MUSKETEERS
- Xavier returns six from last year's squad that brought home the program's third-straight, and fourth overall, BIG EAST Championship and earned Xavier's fourth bid to the NCAA Championships.
- The 2022-23 Musketeers finished the season 14-8 overall with a 6-0 record against BIG EAST opponents.
- Among Xavier's returnees are 2023 BIG EAST Player of the Year, Imani Graham, and BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, Abby Nugent.
- Anna Roggenburk, Blessing Nwaozuzu, Emily Flowers and Abigail Siminski also return for the Musketeers.
- Xavier added a pair of freshmen, Ellie Brotherton and Sofia Mazzucato.
- The Musketeers also added Elizabeth Pendergast, a transfer from Cincinnati, who joined the program in the 2024 spring semester.
