The Musketeers move to 2-1-2 on the season

CINCINNATI - Xavier men's soccer tied Bradley, 2-2, on Thursday night at Corcoran Field. The Musketeers move to 2-1-2 on the year, while the Braves go to 3-1-1.

Xavier returns to action on Sunday, Sept. 8 at No. 21 Ohio State. First touch is set for 7 p.m. from Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

NOTABLES

Xavier took a season-high 18 shots, while matching its season high in shots on goal with eight. Bradley recorded 10 shots (eight on goal).
Xavier committed two more fouls (23-21) than the Braves and took two more corner kicks (4-2). Bradley was called offside three times, while Xavier was called offside twice. Xavier also had four yellow cards issues, while Bradley received two.
Freshman Ishmael Mensah became the sixth Musketeer to record a goal this season, finding the back of the net in the 54th minute - the first goal of his career. Junior defender Dylan Kropp recorded his first assist of the season, increasing his career total to five.
Junior defender Matthew Senanou scored his team-leading third goal of the season. He's the lone Musketeer with multiple goals on the year. He now has four career goals.
Freshman Jack Bilyeu recorded the first points of his career, assisting on the Matthew Senanou goal.
Freshman Cannon Scretchen led 11 Musketeers who recorded a shot in the match, posting a team-high three shots (two on goal). Six different Musketeers took two or more shots in the match.
Jonny Mennell (2-1-2) made five saves in 90 minutes of action between the pipes. He now has a 0.80 goals against average on the year with 18 saves and two shutouts.
