Xavier Visits Marquette for First BIG EAST Road Game

The Musketeers are seeking their first conference win.
CINCINNATI - The Xavier women's lacrosse team travels to Milwaukee this weekend for a contest with Marquette. First draw is set for 3:00 p.m. EST against the Golden Eagles.
Xavier currently posts a 1-8 record and is 0-1 in BIG EAST play after a loss to No. 24 Denver on Sunday afternoon to open conference play.
Marquette is 7-3 this year with a 1-0 BIG EAST record, picking up a win over Butler last Saturday.

- Senior Meg Bireley was named the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. The attacker averages 3.80 goals per game, good for 13th in the nation.
- Attacker Tess Osburn was also named to the Preseason All-Conference Team. The junior is second on the team in points with her 25 goals and 12 assists.
- Midfielder Hanna Bodner was named BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week after contributing three goals, an assist, one ground ball, one caused turnover and three draw controls against Butler.
- The Musketeers are 0-2 all-time against Marquette. Dylan Halloran scored two goals in last season's 21-4 loss at home.
2025 schedule
- The Musketeers were picked to finish seventh in the BIG EAST preseason poll.
- Xavier will face Duke, Bucknell, South Florida and Gardner-Webb for the first time in program history.
