MILWAUKEE - The Xavier women's lacrosse team fell to Marquette by a score of 19-9 on Saturday afternoon.
The Musketeers drop to 1-9 (0-2 BIG EAST) while the Golden Eagles improve to 8-3 (2-0 BIG EAST).

Marquette started the game with five straight goals in the first five minutes of the opening period.
Lily Villaflor scored her third goal of the season assisted by fellow rookie Cameron Yard to open the scoring for the Musketeers.
After two more goals from the Golden Eagles, Lola Mancuso scored her first of the game to mark her 30th career goal.Â
Marquette scored back-to-back goals again to take a 9-2 lead after the first period.
Mancuso scored her second goal to open the scoring in the second quarter on a free position shot.
The Golden Eagles went on to score five more goals unanswered to end the half with a 15-3 lead.
The Musketeers bounced back in the third period, outscoring the Golden Eagles 3-1 in the quarter.
Julie Cassidy scored her first two goals of the game and Mancuso scored her third for her 19th career hat trick.
Xavier continued their momentum into the fourth quarter, scoring three straight to cut their deficit to 16-9 in the final period.
Mancuso scored two more to notch five goals on the day and Cassidy scored once more for her third career hat trick.
Marquette ended the game on a three-goal scoring run.
