A pair of UConn runs in the sixth pulled the Huskies within two but the Musketeers put together another three-run frame in the sixth, getting a single from Luke Hammond and a walk for Carter Hendrickson to put two on for Misch. A single to right field for Misch brought in Hammond, a single from Clay Burdette brought in Hendrickson and Misch scored when Tucker reached on a fielder's choice to set the score at 10-5 in favor of Xavier. UConn scored a pair in the ninth to cut Xavier's lead to three, but would get no closer, falling 10-7.
