The Musketeers begin a three-game road stand to end the season.

CINCINNATI - The Xavier women's lacrosse team begins a three-game road stretch to finish out the season with a trip to UConn this weekend. First draw is set for 12:00 p.m. in Storrs, Connecticut.

The Musketeers enter the weekend at 1-11 with an 0-4 record in BIG EAST play after last weekend's 18-9 loss to first-place Villanova. The Huskies are currently 9-5 and 2-2 in BIG EAST play coming off of a 16-15 loss to Marquette last weekend.

Megan Droney scored two goals for her second straight game with multiple goals.

Morgan Handzel's 7.42 draw controls per game ranks 19th in the nation.
Xavier leads the BIG EAST and is 12th in the nation with a .525 free position percentage.
The Musketeers also rank 41st nationally with 14.25 draw controls per game and 37th with 17.58 ground balls per game.
Xavier's goalkeepers lead the league with 10.58 saves per game.

UConn was picked to finish second in the BIG EAST this year.
Senior Riley Daly was named the BIG EAST Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
Abby Beran leads the league with 3.14 ground balls per game.
Rayea Davis leads the Huskies' offense with 41 goals and 18 assists.
Beran and Davis were both named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team.
The Musketeers are 0-2 all time against UConn, dropping last year's matchup at Corcoran Field 19-7.

2025 schedule notes

The Musketeers were picked to finish seventh in the BIG EAST preseason poll.
Xavier faced Duke, Bucknell, South Florida and Gardner-Webb for the first time in program history.
The Musketeers play opponents from six conferences outside of the BIG EAST.
Xavier faced two teams who reached the NCAA Tournament last season, including Duke and BIG EAST foe Denver.
Denver was ranked No. 23 in the IWLCA Preseason Poll while Duke checked in at No. 25.
XU opened the home slate on March 13 against Gardner-Webb.
