STORRS, Conn. - The Xavier women's lacrosse team dropped a 24-8 match up against UConn on Saturday afternoon.
The Musketeers fall to 1-12 (0-5 BIG EAST) while the Huskies improve to 10-5 (3-2 BIG EAST).

The Huskies scored the first four goals of the contest to force a Xavier timeout.
The Musketeers came out of the break to score back-to-back free position goals from Julie Cassidy and Lola Mancuso that cut the deficit in half.
UConn went on another 4-0 run before Cassidy scored her second of the game assisted by Lily Hayes.
The Huskies continued their hot streak through the end of the first quarter with three more goals before Dylan Halloran scored on a free position shot with 30 seconds to go to make it an 11-4 game after the first.
UConn scored the first two goals of the second frame, but Megan Droney responded with her first of the afternoon.
The Huskies closed out the half with two more goals to maintain a 15-5 lead at the break.
Cameron Yard scored her first collegiate goal in the third quarter while the Huskies tacked on five more.
After UConn scored three straight to open the final period, Samantha Balara won the draw control and took the ball all the way downfield for a fastbreak goal.
Halloran scored the final goal for the Musketeers off an assist by Droney just minutes later.
