Musketeers scored seven in final three innings, but drop fourth straight road game
XU fell to 25-22 with the loss, while UC improved to 25-23.

• Will LaRue moved up to the fifth spot in the lineup and produced a 2-for-4 line with a walk, scoring a run and driving in another.
• Roger Danison had his first multi-hit game of the season and second of his career, going 2-for-5 with a run and RBI.
• Nate Soria came on to catch late in the game and hit a three-run homer in his lone at-bat in the ninth, giving him six bombs on the season.
• Sam Flamini had a career-high three hit performance, finishing the afternoon 3-for-4 with a run scored and a pair of doubles.
• Joe Gellenbeck went 1-for-4 with a walk and his team-leading 46th RBI of the season.
• Rylan Bannon (2-for-5) scored twice, drove in a run and stole his 15th base of the season.
• Conor Grammes went 1-for-4 with an RBI to give himself a four game hitting streak. Grammes has now driven in a run in each of the last three games.
• Chris Givin extended his personal hit streak to six games and reached twice from the leadoff spot, going 1-for-4 with a run scored and a walk.
• Matt Fallon also added a hit, going 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored.

• Senior Trent Astle got the start and went five innings on the mound, allowing five earned runs and striking out four.
• Astle is 10th in XU history with 271.2 innings pitched and moved alone into sixth on the all-time list by making his 49th start.
• Senior Brad Kirschner (3-2) took the loss in relief, going two innings and allowing four runs (none earned) after an error to start the bottom of the seventh.
• Kirschner's appearance was the 83rd of his career. He currently ranks third in program history in that stat.
• Sophomore righty Taylor Williams pitched the eighth, striking out one.

SIXTH INNING: Rylan Bannon led off the inning with a single to left, stealing second with one out before coming around to score on a two out base hit to right by Roger Danison.
SEVENTH INNING: Sam Flamini started the frame with a one out single up the middle, going to third on a double to left center by Matt Fallon. After a Chris Givin walk loaded the bases, Conor Grammes lofted a sacrifice fly to left and prompted a UC pitching change. Xavier then proceeded to tie the game off UC's Nathan Kroger, getting three straight run-scoring singles by Rylan Bannon, Joe Gellenbeck and Will LaRue.
NINTH INNING: A two out rally began with a Will LaRue walk and a single through the left side by Roger Danison. Nate Soria then followed with a three-run homer, his sixth of the season, to make it a 10-8 game.
