Musketeer Set 10 Career-Highs and Schindler Breaks Program Record in Overtime Win at Eastern Michigan

Sawyer Walker collected her first career hat trick with a career-high four goals
YPSILANTI, Mich. - Women's lacrosse closed non-conference action with a 13-12 overtime victory over Eastern Michigan on Wednesday afternoon.
The Musketeers advance to 4-10 (0-4 BIG EAST) and the Eagles fall to 6-7 (3-1 MAC). Xavier moves to 2-0 in the series history with the first overtime win in program history.
Six Musketeers set or tied 10 career-highs and Kimaura Schindler snapped the previous single-game program record of six ground balls with her seven.

• The leading scorer for Xavier in the contest was Sawyer Walker, the redshirt sophomore midfielder, with a career-high four goals and her first career hat trick. Outside of her scoring efforts, Walker also collected a career-high three ground balls.
• Following Walker's scoring efforts were sophomore attacker Lola Mancuso, and freshmen midfielders Kirra Crowley and Machaela Henry with two goals apiece. With her two goals, Henry tied her career-high.Â
• Additional contributors to the scoring efforts were redshirt senior attacker Jordan Miller and freshmen midfielders Megan Droney and Katherine Prentice with one goal each.
• Four Musketeers notched an assist against the MAC foe - redshirt junior attacker Dylan Halloran, Crowley, Prentice, and Droney.
• Kimaura Schindler shattered the previous single-game record for ground balls and set a career-high with her seven against the Eagles. The freshman defender also forced a team- and career-high four turnovers in the contest.
• Julia Frombach, the redshirt junior midfielder, set her Xavier career-highs in ground balls with three and caused turnovers with four.
• Greer Simonton, the freshman midfielder, had a career day in the draw circle where she recorded the team-high in controls with three and set a career-high.
• Also among those to boast career-highs was Katelyn McDonnell. The sophomore midfielder tied her career-high in ground balls with three and set a career-high in caused turnovers with three.
• The Musketeers also tied the team single-game program records in caused turnovers (21), shots (34), and shots on goal (26).
• Xavier out-paced Eastern Michigan in shots, ground balls, clears, and caused turnovers.
