Lola Mancuso extended her scoring streak through all nine games this season.
CINCINNATI - The Xavier women's lacrosse team dropped an 18-2 contest against No. 24 Denver on Sunday afternoon.Â
The Musketeers fall to 1-8 (0-1 BIG EAST) while the Pioneers improve to 6-4 (1-0 BIG EAST).

Xavier was able to get off four shots in the first period, but Denver's goalkeeper also made four saves in the quarter. The Pioneers scored nine unanswered in the first to take an early lead.
The Musketeers were held without a shot throughout the second period while Denver added five more to their tally.
Xavier was held without a goal until Lola Mancuso converted a free position shot with eight minutes left in the game.
The Musketeers forced six turnovers and picked up nine ground balls in the final period. Xavier outscored Denver 2-1 in the fourth quarter.
Lily Villaflor scored her second career goal in the final seconds of the game.

Xavier will travel to Marquette this weekend for its first BIG EAST road game. First draw is set for 3:00 p.m. EST in Milwaukee on Saturday.
