Musketeers look to extend six-match unbeaten streak, which is longest for program since 2014
CINCINNATI – Xavier men's soccer rides a six match unbeaten streak into a challenging road fixture on Wednesday night, traveling to No. 15 Kentucky for a 7:30 p.m. match in Lexington, Ky.
The Musketeers (5-1-1) now have their longest unbeaten streak since 2014 after a 1-0 overtime win against No. 9 Georgetown this past Saturday and are receiving votes in this week's United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll for the first time this season.
XU broke into a couple other national polls this week, checking in at No. 19 in the Soccer America poll and No. 23 in the College Soccer News Top 30.
The Musketeers haven't lost since falling in overtime during their season opener on Friday, Aug. 25 against Loyola Chicago. During the streak, XU has multiple goals in four of six matches and posted three shutouts.

• Xavier men's soccer has reached the NCAA Tournament in four of the last seven seasons.
• The Musketeers have won 10 or more matches in six of the last seven seasons.
• Xavier is the only program in the nation with five consecutive major conference awards, including 2016 BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year Cory Brown.
• XU has qualified for four consecutive BIG EAST Championships, including a trip to the title game in 2014.
