Musketeers looking for first road win in league play on Saturday night
CINCINNATI – Xavier men's soccer gets back to BIG EAST play on Saturday night, heading to Creighton for a 8 p.m. match at Morrison Stadium.
The Musketeers (7-3-2, 2-2 BIG EAST) will be looking for their first road win in league play and hoping for a bouncback effort after a 2-1 loss at Villanova last week.
The match will be broadcast on BIG EAST Digital Network via the FOX Sports Go app.

• Vasquenza's goal came in the 77th minute and was his sixth of the season. The tally moved him into a tie for 10th in program history for career goals.
• Vasquenza's points also put him in the team lead with 15 on the season.
• Simen Hestnes assisted on the strike off a corner kick, giving him a team-best six assists this season.
• Villanova's win was the first for the Wildcats in the all-time series. XU now leads the all-time matchup 3-1-1.
• Xavier leads the BIG EAST in total points with 70, which is nine more than its nearest competitor. Creighton ranks second with 61 points.
• The Musketeers also rank first in the league in goals (23), goals per game (1.92), assists (24), assists per game (2.00) and corner kicks (79).
• XU's recent seven match unbeaten streak was its longest since a nine-match spurt from 9/20-10/29, 2014.
• Eight different Musketeers have recorded an assist this season while four XU players already have three or more goals (Matt Vasquenza, Cam Taylor, Samson Sergi, Simen Hestnes).

• Xavier ended the 2017 preseason with a 1-1-1 record, including a 3-0 win over Marian (Ind.) and a 1-1 draw against ACC foe Duke.
